Tax-Exemptions
🛑 Exemption certificates uploaded through this portal are for online orders only.
Scales Plus is happy to accept sales tax exemption forms from schools, businesses, and government groups that do not need to pay tax. You must submit your tax form before placing an order. We can’t refund sales tax after your order is placed.
How It Works
If you don’t have to pay sales tax, you’ll need to create an account with Scales Plus. After your account is ready, you can upload your tax form on your Your Account page.
Steps to Submit Your Certificate
- Log in to your Scales Plus account
- Add your address in the “Addresses” tab. You need a shipping address before adding your tax form.
- Go to the Tax Exemption section in the menu
- Fill out the form and upload your tax certificate (resale, exemption, etc.)
- Now you can shop without paying tax as long as you are logged in
⚠️ Important: If you had items in your cart before you added your tax form, please remove them and add them again so the tax exemption works.
