The OHAUS Defender 5000 is a new standard in industrial weighing. The range of built in weighing functions enable the 5000 to be utilized in a wide variety of industries. Although complex in design, the scale is extremely user friendly! Features such as the digital status annunciators, a fully numeric keypad, a highly visible display, and 5 user defined softkeys create a simplified operation.
The Defender 5000’s indicator is what enables the scale to have such impressive optional features. An analog option enables the scale to potentially be connected into a PLC system while the Discrete I/O enables the scale to be utilized in a basic batching system. There are also expanded communication options such as Ethernet, Wifi/Bluetooth, and RS-485 or USB.
The range of capacities available for the Defender 5000 is from 25 lbs to 1000 lbs. Each one of these options is NTEP approved for use in legal for trade applications. The scales base has additional safety features such as overload stoppers, a rating to withstand up 150% overload, and a silicon sealed load cell for protection against moisture
