Adam Equipment unveiled two exciting new laboratory balance series; Equinox and Solis. Both Equinox and Solis will include 5-place semi micro balances, a first for Adam Equipment. Each series will also offer a comprehensive lineup of analytical models and upgraded design features.

The news rolled out on the heels of the 2018 PITTCON event in Orlando, Florida. Adam Equipment showcased both the Equinox and Solis series, expanding their portfolio and including semi micro, or 5-place, balances. This marks the first ever semi micro release from Adam Equipment, allowing them to compete for lab bench space against manufacturers like OHAUS, Sartorius and Mettler Toledo.

Equinox Balances

Equinox is undoubtedly the flagship model in Adam's lineup of new balances. Apart from the newly released color touchscreen, the Equinox series will feature two semi micro models, a first for Adam Equipment. Equinox semi micro balances are available in two capacities, 120 gram and 220 gram with a readability to 0.01 mg (0.00001 g).

The vibrant 5 inch color touchscreen display features an icon-driven menu making navigation simple, quick and reminiscent of smartphone operation. A large database will store up to 3000 items for formulation and other applications. Equinox is equipped to support 11 weighing applications, over 15 weighing units and multilingual operation. Both semi micro models come standard with automatic internal calibration to help ensure consistent accuracy.

Equinox features RS-232 and USB communication standard, along with a USB host to store data on a USB memory card. They are constructed for durability and both the draft shield and housing are designed to prevent static, further improving weighing results.

Equinox analytical and semi micro balances are ideal for use in research laboratories, universities and industrial labs where accurate and reliable weighing results are an absolute must. 

Solis Balances

Solis balances join Equinox in the most recent release from Adam Equipment. The Solis series lineup will also include two semi micro models; a 120 gram capacity and 220 gram capacity with readability to 5 places.

A large, bright and highly visible graphic display has a very modern feel with white backlighting and prominent digits. Operation is made simple using only a few keys on the keypad to toggle between menu options and settings. Solis supports 9 weighing applications, 14 weighing units and multilingual operation. Each of the semi micro Solis balances come standard with automatic internal calibration.

Communication with printers, PCs or other peripheral devices is made possible with standard RS232. The housing and draft shield are designed for repeated use and to reduce the effect of static on weighing results.

Solis semi micro balances are an ideal option for highly precise weighing with affordability in mind.

Launch Special

The new models will not be available for sale until April, 2018. The exact date they'll be released is not yet known but we anticipate it will be sooner-rather-than-later in the month.
